Who We Are: The Metro West United Methodist Builders is an affiliate organzation and Advance Special of the Minnesota Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church
Our Mission: The Builder's mission is to support the establishment, growth, and ministry of local United Methodist churches in the greater Minneapolis metropolitan area through providing funds for the construction, mantenance, and improvement of their facilities. As partners in the creation of sacred spaces, the Metro West Builders provides low interst loans and grants to help visions for ministry become a reality.
Our History: The Metro West Builders dates back to 1888 when the Methodist Union was organized. The first project raised $1000 for the purchase and building of Minnehaha Church. Our latest project was a grant of $150,000 and loan of $150,000 to fund the purchase of land and an existing building to provide a church home for Spirit River Community United Methodist Church in Isanti.
What We Do: The Metro West Builders provides financial support and counsel to churches facing critical need for signficant projects that will enhance their growth and development. We have helped to fund repair of leaky roofs, paving parking lots, replacing boilers, new construction, and remodeling as well and other projects to expand and enhance the ministry of the local church.
