GRANTS AND LOANS

 

Call Grants:

Twice each year, the Board of Directors, on recommendation of the finance committee, considers applications and designates projects for funding.  Members and supporters of the Metro West Builder’s Club are invited to contribute specifically in support of these projects.  Requests for the Spring Call should be submitted to the Builders by November 1 of the preceding year.  Requests for the Fall Call should be submitted by May 1.

Energy Efficiency Grants:

Up to $300 is offered to churches to have a comprehensive energy assessment.  Energy Assessments are arranged directly through Xcel Energy.  They may be contacted directly at:  xcelenergy.com, or by calling 1-800-481-4700.

New Church Grants:

Grants to new church starts for land and building purchase are made in consultation with the Director of Congregational Development of the Minnesota Annual Conference and the District Superintendent of the District in which the church is planted.

 

 

Loans:

Churches may receive low interest loans from the Revolving Loan fund.  Loans of up to $100,000 are available for capital improvements, repairs, and refinancing of mortgage debt.  The principal and interest are set each year based upon the ten year treasury note rate.  For 2012, the rate has been set at 3%.
